Yeah, I’m with Elvis on the ability of hot dog ingredients ability to get weirder. (And still remain, you know, more or less, food.)

Happy New Year! Yes, Elvis, hot dogs can get even weirder…..Unless you buy 100% beef.

Elvis is right though. Kind of hard to imagine how hot dogs can get any weirder.

Elvis’s mind is blown.

I used to love hot dogs, until a friend of mine worked at one of those meat packing plants. He told me I did not want to know what went into hot dogs or how they were manufactured. I no longer eat hot dogs or lunch meat.

Happy New Year everyone! I’m spending my New Year’s Eve rolling into New Year’s early morning watching old Doctor Who episodes (ranging from 1967 to 2011) and reassuring the cats that the war zone outside isn’t going to come inside.

Anyone who has tried meatless hot dogs knows it can get weirder.

Did I tells you how I loves the colouring in this comic? I did? Well, it a new year, so lemme tells you again. Beautifully coloured by hand. Even with the minimal colouring o-purr-tunity today, cartoonist does a great job carefully colouring the cats eyes, ties, Elvis’s face, and of course, Puck’s little TOEBEANS. Even they is coloured beautifully. Got to appreciate the dedication to artwork here. No little detail is left uncoloured here. Not even Lupin’s paper or the CN cups, they’re shaded by colours too. A fully hand made cartoon is always a treat to watch. Big thumbs up and kudos, of course, even though I doesn’t says this every day, I means it.

We do Keogel’s hot dogs in the natural fireplace a couple times a month, for dinner. I don’t care. I love them. The dobe loves them. Loaner Cat loves them. Pucky would love them. Best hot dogs in the world! Happy New Year to everyone here.

Puck is going to accidently eat this new food and find it to be delicious!!I am wondering, however, how ALL are being offered the “elderly cat” food. How old are these BCN reporters?

Having recently tried veggie “hot dogs”, I think Puck is spot on! There may be a palatable form out there, but if so, my local market doesn’t have it.

My cat woke me up at 5:30am with a nip on my arm so I would go downstairs and give him wet food. When I got out of bed (2 hours later) he just plopped on the floor and waited. What a way to start a new year.

I think the Dogs of C-Kennel have it right: set the bar low.

I have to admit, I love dogs! The animal kind of course, but the food kind too. They are so easy! Most importantly, if I make a sandwich, I feel it isn’t complete if I don’t have lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc., etc. I don’t feel that way about dogs. I can slap one in a bun, put some topping on it (mustard for beef; flavored mayo or the like on andouille, hot links, smoked sausage, etc.; that, plus jalapeños on turkey smoked sausage [gotta add some flavor]; onion spread a plus) – but not other ingredients.

I’m eating lots more meat substitutes, but have found zero decent ones in dog form, unfortunately! The last ones tasted like they had plastic in them (and yes, I did remove the wrapper, LOL). I may have to lower my sandwich standards, however I don’t know why but that’s just really hard for me to do.

By the way – HAPPY NEW YEAR! May this revolution around the sun bring more peace to your souls, no matter the external circumstances.

Around here, the tradition with disliked wet food is to consume as much as possible, then give it forth as a chunky lather in the sock drawer, or on the human’s pillow, or just from the highest accessible location in the room. May 2022 be better for us all! (including ham for Puck)

For those who follow Bob the Writing Cat and haven’t seen today’s post, poor little Oliver the Chihuahua did not make it through the night. I’m sure all condolences would be greatly appreciated by Bob and his Woman.

Oh yeah, Elvis. They can. I can think of some out there that are called hot dogs that are nothing more than cardboard masqurading as food.

Oopsie really surprised me last night. He came out into the livingroom and stayed with me, even with the “boom booms” going off. When I finally went to bed, he laid next to my pillow for a few minutes. Not once did he go into his “cave” (under the bed). He’s come a long way in a few short months. Remember, I worked with him for THREE YEARS before he came home. He got to know me, saw me as a food source, water source, and now he sees me as a source of safety. I miss my little Vlad, Natasha, Ash, and all the kitties I’ve had before.

I don’t want to seem too insensitive here, but how is Lupin doing? I’ve tried to follow up other social media updates, but not finding anything.

The Ensign ran up to the Captain of the Navy ship at sea, excitedly trying to tell the Captain something but only managed to blubber. The Captain ordered the Ensign, “What is it? Sing it out!” The Ensign stopped, cleared his throat, took a deep breath, and sang: “Should old acquaintance be forgot, And never brought to mind, The Admiral’s fallen overboard, And he’s half a mile behind!"

I discovered BCN some time in Dec & read through allll the back numbers. Imagine my surprise yesterday when one of my kids gave me the 2022 calendar. Yay!

An even weirder hot dog? The horror!
