    isn’t that the truth…i just recently seen my high school transcript and i don’t know how i managed to graduate.. however my credit score is BETTER than my high school transcript was.. guess that’s why i am willing to learn more now.

    If they would teach what can be used in the real world, or applied in some way, or enable us to see a parallel that would help us then I could see the worth of the time spent.

    I am thinking of how I was put in the academic track where I had to do trigonometry, memorize French, be tested about atoms and electrons, etc. Never used that stuff which was forgotten quickly after graduation.

    Not saying it is useless but it was for me. Give it to those who need the building blocks to become competent in their chosen careers.

    As a homeowner I could have used a couple of vocational classes about things needed to do home repairs or a small building project. I am not talking about a “shop class” where the requirement was to make a pair of book ends and a leather bookmark.
