If I wear my hearing aids out shopping, the eye glasses don’t bother them, but when I try taking my mask off….the bands get wrapped up in the aids or the glasses legs. I sometimes end up pulling one or the other off with the bands. :-(
I find that I need my glasses changed and I need a hearing aid. But, neither sense is bad enough to need aids full time, thank God. Now, if there were something to take to keep my middle from being so big, I could probably use that full-time.
Family – you can’t get here nor there without them. Try. Peace to all for 2022 and it starts with you and me. The very best of 2022 to you Born Losers.
Aren’t there times that you wouldn’t want both your glasses and hearing aids on at the same time? I think if I needed them, I would at least want the hearing aids to be removable. As far as masks, I generally wear the ones with the bands that go behind the head. These are probably easier for women to wear if they tie their hair up. The lower band goes above the bun/pony tail and the upper ban goes below. That keeps them on nicely and safely and the bands are less likely to slip and minimal, if any, leakage.
Once upon a time, there were hearing aid glasses. The problems were: you couldn’t wear one without the other. And, at that time, all hearing aids needed batteries. Most people couldn’t see to put in the batteries without their glasses, but had to take off the glasses to change the battery. Plus, the frames were very thick and ugly. If your hearing aid needed repair, you also had to give up your glasses. If your glasses needed new lenses, you were without your hearing aids.
For those with hearing aids and having issues with masks, you can get mask extenders that let you wear a mask behind your neck, or get ones with ties. I tell my patients to put hearing aids on first, then the mask. That way the wire or tubing for the hearing aid isn’t going over the elastic for the mask and less chance to get tangled up.
I don’t need glasses for distance vision anymore since I had my cataracts removed years ago, but I still need reading glasses and my hearing is not what it used to be. Perhaps I need glasses like Uncle Ted’s.
I prefer to keep my devices separate. I have a camera which takes pictures, and is not capable of texting, making phone calls or accessing the internet. And my GPS is a separate device mounted in my car, and I don’t worry about taking it with me when I get out of the car.

Have you ever watched a video where the audio is out of sync and wonder if your hearing is going? Oh yeah, that’s a Godzilla movie.

I am unfamiliar with the verb “clete.” In panel one Brutus asks the guy in the chair if his new glasses are “uncleted.”

That would be awesome to have hearing aids work that were in your glasses. It seems like most people hate their hearing aids in their ears.
