We are currently training our Maine coon kitten not to play with plants. My wife does the “No plants” command. If that doesn’t get her to leave the plant alone then after the second command when she reaches for the plant I shoot her with a little spritz of water, from a different direction than my wife. She thinks the plant is the one spraying her!
We’ve done this identical routine before and it always works.

And water wins again. Water will wear down mountains and carve out valleys. And chase out little kittens too!

I trained 5 cats with water. When I said scat…they got out or off of whatever they were doing.
