Every few months, I come across the word “brisket,” and sometimes I bother to look it up, but I can never remember what the heck it means, except that it’s obviously a cut of meat. Now, I’ve eaten meat my whole life, but whatever brisket is, I’ve never, ever come across it in person. Is it some kind of regional or ethnic thing?

Or as Carl Sagan said, “if you want to bake cookies from scratch, you have to invent the Universe.”
