Not a medical test, but my “first choice” college told me I was wait-listed for admission, but they’d let me know for sure “by June” whether I was accepted or not. 60 years later, I’m still waiting to discover… “June” of which year?

Meanwhile, my second choice accepted me, giving me both a scholarship and a loan. Turned out that that was a better fit for me, anyway.

I’m still waiting for my Covid vaccination appointment. Filed the request in May.

Why would a supposedly vastly advanced race capable of traversing light years of distance choose to do so just to visit a trailer park in Alabama to shove a probe up Billy-Bob’s backside?
