Bob, the philosopher, is not only rare — he is wise. For example, he knows that the chicken crossed the road for some fowl reason. Bob sees the world not as it is — but as it ought to be. We can all benefit from the pearls of wisdom that Bob occasionally drops before us.
He’s right about the donuts. The office workers where I worked got a box of donuts every Thursday. If there were any leftovers, they put them in the break room for the second shift hourly workers. Every Thursday at break time, there was a mad rush to get those donuts.
Unfortunately, Bob is like a lot of people. They say they’ll consider other opinions, but they don’t. In their mind if you disagree with them you must be wrong. My opinion is that if you don’t agree with me it’s because you haven’t been paying attention to what I was saying.
