That’s not a monster, that’s a cartoon dinosaur with donkey ears.

It wouldn’t scare a preschooler, let alone a nine year-old.

I could put it in a hamster cage until I train it to sit on my shoulder.

Whether my Nintendo switch is connected to my wide screen TV or not, the giant monsters still won’t beat me. We video game heroes keep finding ways.

I feel the same way whenever I see Godzilla on a small screen. You don’t scare me anymore, Gojira!

The only movie that scared me was the Fly when the fly/man was in the spider web saying “Help me”!

Today’s strip reminds me that people were scared when they first saw a train coming towards them on a cinema screen. The UK television series The Quatermass Experiment was very scary for TV viewers in 1953 – especially when Quatermass started addressing TV cameras in his fictional world so that he seemed to be speaking to the real TV viewers. That series would lead to a Hammer movie adaption and that led to The Curse of Frankenstein and other Hammer horrors.
