The problem with previews is that if you see the scenes highlighted ahead of time, you end up overlooking and skimming over them in the actual comic strip-
Ineffective as her attempts at expressing contrition may be, it’s worth pausing to remember that this whole saga is a product of her feeling guilty about what happened in Robotics Club and wanting to patch things up with Lyle. Out of concern for his sensibilities or just to make herself feel better, well… unclear.
It’s also worth remembering that- in stark contrast- she and Esther managed to reconcile in the space of a single weekday strip: https://www.gocomics.com/nancy/2021/09/01
Forty-odd years ago, one of our local art house cinemas would have a previews night, 2 1/2 hours of previews of old(er) movies of the previous 20+ years, foreign and domestic. It was both a ton of fun and exhausting, as every preview of a movie you’d seen would flood the mind’s eye with the memory of the complete movie, so that by the end of the showing you’d have processed months worth of movies in a single sitting.
Years ago, when my wife and I were still fairly newly married and were just getting our lives and careers started, we couldn’t afford to go to the movies very often. So every Spring, I would go online and collect movie trailers for all of the movies that were coming out that Summer (and through the end of the year, if I could,) and we would sit down and have a “Movie Trailer night” where we would watch all the trailers for the coming year. Then we’d debate about which ones we were going to see in the full priced theater, which ones we’d wait for the dollar theater, and which ones we’d catch on Netflix. It was always a fun night and even though it’s less necessary now, we still do it about once a year.
Often previews tell you everything you need to know about a movie and show you the best parts. They’ve saved me from wasting a couple of hours many times.

A great preview to a great strip. Only in this instance, the preview takes just as long as the feature.

Sometimes trailers show scenes not in the movie.
