If you want Dad to buy you a steak dinner, get all A’s. As it is, Baldo has something to look forward to if he wants it bad enough, he should work harder
He’s lucky he got that much. My father always gave me, "Why can’t you be more like “his golden boy” your older brother?" My reply was, “Should I smoke weed, quit college, drink all of your beers, and crash my car?” Father’s reply “You know what I mean?” I went nuclear and I ended it with, "Dad, why can’t you be more like your older brother, “grandfather’s golden boy” Uncle Joseph?" My father’s answer was, “What? My brother Joseph is dead!” I just gave him a blank stare. The silence was deafening!
We are always careful to separate whether we are offering a “nice restaurant” (sushi, dine-in Mexican, etc) or just casual fare. There is a huge difference in both cost and expectations.
A decent Cheeseburger “Out” often costs more than a Steak at home. Locally, Burger, Fries and a Shake is over $7. I was in the grocery store this afternoon and several of their steak cuts were going for just under $8/pound. I picked up a gallon of Fudge Ripple and a gallon of Milk, so the shake IS a possibility if I get hungry later. I’m ok now because I also picked up a batch of Brownies.
Sadly, my favorite Cheeseburger, the Steak N’ Shake mushroom & Swiss burger is no longer on the menu.

Rather than steak or burgers, I would’ve gone with something for fun: teppanyaki.

For steak, cook it at home and make a salad.

All As might get a steak. When I was a kid, all As got a trip to McDonald’s. But we got a milkshake.

That’s something my late father would do to me when I was young. I look back now and I find it funny.

Be grateful Baldo, it isn’t your aunt’s menudo. It even counts for quality time with your dad if you wipe off the frown.

Hamburgers always work for me, especially those with grilled mushrooms, onions, cheese and bacon. Beats a steak actually…..

We didn’t get rewards for grades, my mom said it was for the satisfaction of learning itself! However, I would not have been happy with C’s!

For under a 3.0 average, better get used to eating on the cheap.
