Dang it! I was looking for the “Sell By” store

Where to I go if I want to buy a wall?

Best Buy is an electronics store, Best By is checking dates on food products.

So is there also a “Worst By” store?

I know a few that I might classify as “Worst Buy”.

Panic Culture? OMG! This entire display is about to self destruct!

Groan…

This does not compute.

I have ignored ‘Best Before’ dates as long as they have been around. Nothing more than a scam to get you to toss perfectly good food. Just sniff it.

According to the USDA:A “Best if Used By/Before” date indicates when a product will be of best flavor or quality. It is not a purchase or safety date.A “Sell-By” date tells the store how long to display the product for sale for inventory management. It is not a safety date. A “Use-By” date is the last date recommended for the use of the product while at peak quality. It is not a safety date except for when used on infant formula A “Freeze-By” date indicates when a product should be frozen to maintain peak quality. It is not a purchase or safety date.The nose knows what is safe. Or if the can is bulging.

Next, they’ll order from “Perfectly Imperfect.” Hey, these apples are bruised and squishy!
