In Northern VA, we’re heading there. Interstates that were free and built with tax dollars are being “improved” by private companies who then charge tolls that vary based on traffic. And, on some, you don’t know what the toll will be until you’re basically committed. Worse, the deal with the state has VA guaranteeing a minimum gross to the company. If people say “we won’t use those lanes and screw ’em”, the state will use our money to pay the company instead.
For those who don’t want millionaires and billionaires to pay their fair share of taxes, that money also goes to take care of our veterans, you know, the old people we make walk in parades so we can be seen waving little American flags at?
