How about Klallam which went extinct in 2014? Sure there are still Klallam people, but English is their primary language.

I can honestly say that Telegu is one language I haven’t a clue about! At my age, I have no desire to learn it or have any occasion to need to use it.

I know the goal is to show Gracie’s intelligence and drive, but she consistently comes off as incredibly arrogant and self-absorbed.

How about ancient Egyptian? The phonetics aren’t known nowadays.

I believe one of the reasons English is so difficult is that we are a melting pot of other cultures. We have adapted words and phrases from French, Italian, German, Russian, etc. Those words become English words and those patterns get brought into English, which was complicated in the first place.

I must say that this is the only cartoon that I’ve ever come across that mentions Telugu — a language that was spoken in the area of India where my grandfather was a missionary and my father was born.

Ha! Been there, struggled with that. But Bahasa is tons easier than Korean is easier than English.
