Sorry, Saab is gone, but there’s still Sabb Motors if it’s a motor that you want.

It appears to be a checkered story.

If it’s a sporty model, he could write a Saab Sonett sonnet.

Saab story indeed. My ‘83 900S lasted 130,000 miles (Slate Blue, Inca wheels) – one of the better cars I’ve owned.

Cost + Reliability win out with me. Toyota all the way. If I want to buy Swedish, I’ll get something from Ikea.

Don’t see many Saabs around anymore. And DeSotos are almost all collector’s items.

We chased a Mini Cooper and he took a corner like was glued to the ground. Our 6 cylinder cruiser was not up to it, we let him go.

My wife is fairly short. The internal geometry of many cars is such that she can’t drive them. (Not necessarily only U.S.-made; the VW Beetle was especially bad.) We drive a Mitsubishi. BTW Volvo was good — never checked a Saab.

Our first car was a 1959 Volvo 544 Sport. Had many of these as well as a brand new 1965 122s, many 122 2nd hand 122 SW, & a 1973 Volvo P1800E. Still have a 1993 last model year 240SW now equipped with hand controls.

Volvo means ‘I roll’. Volvo began business making ball bearings before cars & trucks.

Cosmo should have said he drives a HERITAGE Antique vehicle. The Desoto qualifies as both.

A friend was a SAAB enthusiast, but his saab stories were about the frequent repairs and cost of parts.
