And let that be a lesson to you. Start revealing the truth about mermaids, and you will be doomed.

Slightly off topic, but Monday I picked up my new kitten! I found her through PetFinders, she’s just four months old, dark gray with white nose and chin, tummy and legs and feet. With one dark gray patch on her lower belly. I renamed her Bailey. She’s a pistol! lol Spencer did some hissing the first day but now he’s accepting her and even touching nose to nose and letting her play with HIS toys. I’m exhausted, however, lol.

Yesterday, Dr Scuttles was taking questions on Cryptids. I can’t see the questions because I’m not on twitter, I can only see a ‘teaser’ and he’s the only one I dare venture on there for. But he did mention Georgia yesterday. I’d have listened to a podcast. I’d have been in good company there with the raccoons :)

Mothman? Wow, Georgia brought me back to the 1990’s and late night radio with Art Bell who while I was in graduate school, spent a lot of time listening to him on one of the AM stations out of Birmingham or Tuscaloosa. Blended in good with the X-Files which were a must see show back then. I guess the raccoons must have been tuned in as well. Anyhow RIP Art (he passed away in 2018 after leaving the show several years before). The opening bumper music was always Giorgio Moroder’s “The Chase” and other great tunes popped up between segments.

Well, this is a trove of information. Apparently the raccoons are not fond of Dr. Scuttles either. Now, we know the Twitter is genuine, but is the podcast or is it solely in-universe? Either way, a Mothman reference certainly makes me happy!

It’s too bad some of us are left out of the whole Dr. Scuttles story arc because it’s appearing in a place we can’t access.

    Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

At the boat of the Water Cat Brothers

Freshwater Cat: Well, looks like a really good day to go out on the boat, bro.

Saltwater Cat: Think we’ll catch enough for Thomios’s fish feast?

Fresh: And plenty left over for the Royal Procurers.

Salty: Do you think we’ll meet Dr. Snap out there?

Fresh: Maybe. Did you see his latest scroll cast, “Mermaids: Real or a Desert Legend?”

    Out on the boat

Fresh: Oh, there’s Sirena and Merlin! Hey, guys! How’s the water?

Sirena: Lovely today. Perfect for a nice long swim.

Merlin: Then we’ll join some of our merfolk friends for a seaweed picanic.

Sirena: You won’t tell any of the landfolk about us, will you?

Salty: Not at all. We’ll be as silent as the Royal Procurers.

A mouse interviewing garbage-outfitted raccoons who listen to a podcast by a snapping turtle who spews conspiracy theories about mermaids and mothman. Sometimes this comic gets weird. :-)

The good thing about any reptile podcast is that w/a two chambered heart one can only rant for a brief time before exhaustion sets in. On the other hand it is a little difficult to critique the wisdom of a species group that has lasted 260 million years and saw both the beginning and end of the dinosaurs…

It turns out most conspiracies are implicit rather than explicit . If you look into it, Mermaids and Mothman have the same goals but never have any meetings together. :)

They were fine with the Mothman stuff? You mean it’s been revealed that Mothman’s purpose is to distract people from the black helicopters? Oh, no! All is lost!

Apologies, but I just thought of this joke: I was going to wonder if any of the BCN cats listened to Dr. Scuttles’ podcast, but Elvis would probably say whales have their own news.
