I first went to London ten years ago. I went with my older brother and was my personal first time using a passport. Of course we didn’t go via a police wagon.
A very long time ago, when I was going to med school in Edinburgh, I had the opportunity to take a bus trip to London. When the driver told us we were getting close to the English border I asked him how he could tell. “It smells,” was his reply. London is ok for a short visit, but I prefer the countryside in the north and Scotland. That same trip I also visited Highclere Castle. Imagine my surprise when years later it had been magically transported to Yorkshire and re-named Downton Abbey.
I rode in the transport van as part of our local citizen’s police academy-went from the jail to the forensic sexual assault center, a distance of about 5 blocks. Longest trip of my life: Full size van with no windows in the custody section, steel benches on both walls and a full-length steel partition down the middle. Basically, your knees were against the wall, and we were crammed in 5 to a side. Very disorienting and we were glad it was winter because by the time we reached our destination about 5 minutes later we were all claustrophobic and so glad to get out into the cold fresh air. I would hate to do that during an Indiana summer with the heat and humidity both in the 90s.

Now, I never knew Andy had been on the wagon! :D

Andy was on the wagon. But he then fell off the wagon. And they then dragged him by his collar off to the gaol. Just like it is back in Hartlepool.

His goal was not gaol on the trip, I’m sure.

Capps living in London? Even London would move or go under or stay fogged over.

Wonder if Andy’s ever been arrested by Inspector Jack Frost around the Southern area of Denton? Lol. I enjoyed the series.

Just stay out of the Walford borough. It’s a dangerous part of town!
