My memory at 69 is just as good as it was at 29, which isn’t saying much.

I have a good long term memory, I cannot say much for my short term memory, which may be a good thing.

There are some that choose intentional selective memory loss. “Don’t ask, I do not recall!”

My mother had great memory and lived to be 90. I remember during her last days, she was in the hospital and the docs wanted to put in a feeding tube. But, momma had made strict instructions to me that there would be no extreme measures to prevent her natural demise. When I told her of the docs desire, she reminded me of her much earlier decision about extreme measures. She died soon thereafter.

One of the hard things about living with someone who has dementia, they don’t remember that they have dementia.

“They” say the memory is the first thing to go, and I’d don’t remember what’s second.

More than likely. He has definitely kept his keen wit and that is more important than some memories that might be lost……

Well, if you don’t remember what you forgot, it’s like you never forgot it in the first place.

Regardless of the status of his memory, Uncle Ted still has his wit.
