The expectations Rose’s parents have for her would cripple a lesser being. Still, it’s nice to not have to deal with them all the time.

This was high school english class for me. Except I only rose my hand reluctantly just to move the conversation along. I never knew if nobody read the homework or if they just didn’t remember anything. I assumed the former. The latter would be too scary.

Reminds me of Chemistry in hs, but I only answered because the silence was crippling.
