This reminds me of dealing with a customer just yesterday that was unhappy that they hadn’t yet gotten their food delivery. After looking up their information, I tell them that according to our computer they were entirely right that they should have their order, but that we haven’t seen the driver back at the store yet so I would need to call them up to find out what was going on.
The customer then proceeded to continue to complain to me and when I told them again that at that point all I knew was that we had a missing driver and it was possible he had been in an accident but that I would find out as quick as I could, this didn’t even phase them. They just kept on complaining.
Look I get that when you order food and it doesn’t arrive in a timely manner this makes you angry. But I don’t care how hungry you are (when you are ordering food delivery), your hunger is not more important than the well-being of my drivers. And as long as you keep me on the phone repeatedly telling me how hungry you are and how you still haven’t gotten your food, I can’t find out in any way, shape, or form if there is a reasonable explanation to why the driver hasn’t gotten you your food yet.
Here in Nyc our governor has lifted the indoor mask mandate for: restaurants & stores; a majority of them have put up mask optional signs and folks are definitely opting out of wearing them.
There was an accident out on the Atlantic. Two tanker ships collided. One was carrying red paint, the other was, in a strange twist of fate carrying blue paint. The crews of both ships were marooned.
