Can we agree that it’s DAYLIGHT SAVING and not SAVINGS?

I always thought that they lived somewhere in Arizona, no DST here!

The United States goes on DST,

Except for Arizona within the US, which doesn’t,

Except for the Navajo Nation within Arizona, which does,

Except for the Apache Reservation within the Navajo Nation, which doesn’t.

I put my daylight savingS in the Snow Bank

The worst part about DST is getting up at 2am to change the clocks.

I remember back in 1966 when America’s drive-in movie theaters did not want to do it, because it would make their movies show too late at night. Everyone else, though wanted more daylight in the evening, and they won the argument.

We still have it because pols never like to give up power they have over the people.

We still have it because people are too lazy to stand up and tell our politicians what to do. They’d rather just go along.

Wait, Carmen, don’t you live in Arizona where they don’t use DST? Unless you live in the Navajo Nation.

Either end of the age spectrum want to keep it. Kids so their bedtime is later. Us old people who can drive an hour later.

I don’t care whether we have DST or not, just so long as everybody does the same thing (I’ll make an exception for Hawaii).

But people who get confused or aggravated by being asked to reset their clocks twice a year are morons.

1) Benjamin Franklin came up with it to help farmers. 2) There is legislation rumbling around in California to stay daylight saving time all year.

This cartoon appears to take place in Arizona (based on the cactus types and terrain), which does not observe daylight saving time. For a state with a lot of really stupid legislators, this is a surprisingly wise decision.

China has one time zone officially, even though it spans five time zones geographically.

It has no legitimate use in the 21st century.

Arizona doesn’t have Daylight Saving.
