Granny shouldn’t have asked. It is not a choice when there is only one option.

My sandwiches were always peanut butter and honey. I guess I’d have to starve today with a blanket ban on peanut butter in most places.

Just put the creamed corn in a container and heat it up during your lunch period.

How on earth would one eat a creamed corn sandwich? That old bat has lost her mind!

There’s also the French version, La Creme De La Corn

It’s a gourmet thing in fancy restaurants.. soup or stew in bread bun. A corn chowder sandwich could.. start a new eating craze.

That really, truly would be sad!

I love this strip, but boy, doesn’t it make me sad… :(

This is one occasion where I completely side with Agnes.

Reminded me of this Golden Oldie:

Kid 1: Tuna sandwiches! Tuna sandwiches! Every day for lunch it’s tuna sandwiches!

Kid 2: Why don’t you ask your mother to pack you something else?

Kid 1: That won’t help, I make my own sandwiches.

Choices are easy when there’s only one.

When I was a kid, canned tuna fish was cheap. Grades 1 through 8 I got a tuna fish sandwich every day. When I got married I warned my wife that a tuna fish sandwich would be grounds for divorce. She must want to stay married… 53 years, and never a tuna fish sandwich.
