Last year I set a goal to average a book a week and I was a bit disappointed that I only read about 3 dozen in 2021
The last 4 books took me 6 weeks
Most of those books have been over 500 pages each and one was near a thousand, but thats no excuse
Tell ya what, just download a e-reader app on your new phone and burn that. (Just do us a favour and stand REAL close to the fire as you watch it burn.)
I have quite a few books in my bookcase, but since I purchased a Kindle e-reader I do not purchase hardbacks except as gifts.
The ones without friends tend to read books. I read lots and lots of them.
