When I was a kid, I loved to get Christmas catalogs. The big three were Sears, JC Penney, and Montgomery Ward. They’d start coming in September and I would check the mail as soon as I got home from school. If there was one, I’d take it in and start pouring through the toy section (the only section worth looking at, in my opinion). In the weeks leading up to Christmas, certain pages would become worn, dog-eared and marked up, primarily the toy guns and action figures. Ah, those were the days!
