As far as I know, no one has ever been injured of died during square dancing, unless they had a heart attack. I did square dancing with my parents for a while in junior high and it was fun.
The school is just trying to cover their bases in the off chance someone does get hurt. The kids are probably going to be instructed by someone who is reading a “Square Dance for Dummies” book.
