The whole “You can be anything you want to be” idea is not true. People can aspire to have a particular occupation, but do not always have the intelligence, temperament or aptitude required. Plus, the job market may not be there. Many people achieve a degree in a particular field, but end up doing something different simply there are not enough jobs available to fit their degree.
