Just tell Lucy the the ball is someone she is mad at when she is up to bat.

Wow, If Charlie could focus her hitting her brother to hitting the ball, then what a player she could be. And, if Charlie would relinquish the throne of pitcher to her, then the transformation would be complete. But, alas, Charlie isn’t that kind of coach, and so we prod on with the right people in all the wrong positions to serve Charlie’s ego. Too bad.

I know women are trying to get ahead in society, but Lucy goes too far and spoils the idea of ever setting an example for girls and women today.

Schulz must’ve just wanted to have Linus punched out on occasion.
