Aw. Looks like someone may be out of commission for a couple of days. Tough break for school break week.
First strip to admit cold and flu season is here?
I guess that is called “Wissbegierde” in German – “eagerness for knowledge” is the best translation I could muster in English.
Shades of my youth… My grandmother (retired Teacher) had an early 1900’s Oxford Unabridged Dictionary with onion skin pages (less than half as thick as 20# bond) that the smallest grandchild sat on while at the table.
I used to wake up eager to face the day
Now I’m in my late 50s, not so eager anymore
When I was young, I used to pop out of bed…now, I snap, crackle & pop out of bed!
Poor kid. He looks awful. Made the climb up that chair though.
Familial advanced sleep-phase syndrome, or as I call it Early Morning Disease.
Poor Eddie….
I thought the Bucket family lived in the U.S. Isn’t today (Feb 21) a holiday? (Something to do with Presidents) Poor Eddie must be really sick.
I can see why he would consider that a sickness.
I feel the same when I have to get up for work.
Ooh! Ooh! I know I know! It’s called mania: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mania
Sorry if I sounded enthusiastic about that.
Eddie’s facial expression in panel 1 is perfect. Wish he weren’t feeling so lousy, but the depiction is excellent. Well done, Greg.
