Don’t think Phoebe still won’t try.

Maybe this is how the comic ends, Marigold is just gone forever now.

Dang, Dana REALLY wants to trigger her readers’ anxiety, doesn’t she?

Even though my logical side says it’ll be resolved in a really silly and mundane way, my emotional side is worried the strip will end here, with Marigold being gone forever, right before the Nickelodeon series is released.

Perhaps by the end of the day, you’ll ride Marigold home, completely forgetting that she was missing. And then after that, forget that she isn’t missing and start searching again. I get the feeling that kind of thing happens to me all the time.

Yeah. It totally should be. Not many kids would feel comfortable misusing it, after all.

Sorry, Mom. I’m afraid I have to agree with Phoebe on this one.

what Phoebe needs is a substitute unicorn to keep her company (perhaps Florence Unfortunate Nostrils despite her sneezing of spiders or Lord Splendid Humility despite his hiding anywhere)

Must be some hot coffee her Mom is holding!

Maybe the meds are finally kicking in.

Her unicorn won’t come back ?

Oh boy, I picked a wrong time to get back here. This is stressful. But certainly, not going to school because your unicorn is missing is bound to be a better excuse than ‘my dog ate my homework.’ Right…?

I’m not going to get worried until they change the name of the strip.

I’m worried too. This is becoming very alarming.

I hope Marigold’s okay. I also really hope that she’s still just hiding and isn’t trying to avoid Phoebe for whatever reason.

Then suddenly, rising from the east, UNICORN!

Maybe Marigold is hanging out with Puff the Magic Dragon…. no, that would just be too sad.

I suspect Phoebe will soon get a letter. Pasted-together letters clipped from magazine or newspaper headlines spell out: We Got Your Unicorn. Pay Us Lots. Blaaaarrt.

(This would’ve been funnier if I knew how to use five or six different fonts in the same message.)

It’s Presidents Day here in the US and the schools, at least in Miami-Dade are closed for the day. Is Phoebe in the US or is she in Canada?

Would “a friend of mine is missing” be a good excuse?

Marigold is clearly hiding in space, and surprised Phoebe hasn’t been up there to look for her yet…

Marigold has never been one to understand limits or boundaries so she could be thinking that hiding indefinitely is part of the game. Maybe she’s cast a “spell of invisibility” and has been there the whole time.

I have to agree, it should be…..
