Two of my cats come when I call them.

I think cats have selective hearing. They come when you’re calling them to dinner, but if you’re calling them for anything else, forget it.

Actually, that looks more like a witness box.

When I come home after the gym or some other long time out doing errands, I give Boots treats in the kitchen. When I had trouble for the Alexa command I was giving I changed it to “Boots Mommy is home” which is what I was saying anyway after Alexa turned on the lights. She does respond to that as she knows it treat time. Otherwise it hit or miss if she comes when called.

My two occasionally come when called. Actually, I’m more likely to come when they yell at me than they are when I call them.

Moose comes when I call him. Blackjack – not a chance.

Even cats know that cats don’t come when called ~ especially Chesney.

Nearly all the cats I’ve ever had have come when they were/are called. The mystery to me is how each one learns it’s name, especially when there are several? No bad news yesterday from my sister, the fire is out, and the weather is mild so I am hoping for a decent stress free day in the garden.

All the cats I’ve had (except the 2 deaf ones) came when I called “All cats”. Time of day didn’t seem to have any effect.

And so it begins….the Unholy duo of Chesney J Puddifoot and Mr. Jack Soames. For the next 8+ years Mr. Soames was the most beautifully drorn cat on the block … whether this was thanks to the artistic skills of GH or to the talented Lil’ Oliver and his crayons….or to both!

Maybe Bluebell realizes what a sham this trial is and wants no part of it. (Hey, it could happen.) Then again, what cat could resist tuna? On another note, saw four varied thrushes while out walking today.

Just a note to say that my daughter is fine. She’s dealing with her insurance co. which is like torture. She has to go through them, and they go for the insurance co. of the woman who caused the wreck. Thanks all of you for your concern!

Tell Sarah to “hang in there”,. Having worked insurance for over 6 years,,that’s what she has paid premiums for all these years. She didn’t cause the damage,,,her company will go after the others ins company for reimbursement of what Sarah’s has to pay out for her damages,. Good Luck, and thankfully, she’s fine. Cars can be replaced,,people can’t.
