Pig #2: Made the most tasty bacon to the delight of many.

I’m sort of a fromande† (I eat a lot of cheese, and appreciate it a lot. Too much). There ARE some cheeses that I don’t like. But I really do like most of them if they’re good. And I have a standard fall back position for “American cheese” and all the “factory built cheese-like substances”: I just say “I like cheese and THAT IS NOT CHEESE!”

† Portmanteau word from “fromage” and “gourmand”

Neighbor Bob should add “Enjoyed bacon” to his list.

Many’s the night I’ve dreamed of cheese — toasted, mostly.

Reading 1000 books is OK. The rest is nothing compared with cheese.

My Accomplishments:

Bought house. Sold house, lived in apartments. It’s easier.

Read several thousand books. Wrote one, didn’t sell.

My Failures:

Everything else on Neighbour Bob’s list.

BURPED!

The Count agrees with Pig. The Count, too, enjoy’s cheese and everything else IS a waste of time. Dilly! Dilly!

Well I have 4 out of the 6 mentioned in the first panel out of the way. No marathons or running a company for me.

I think Bob is just doing that list to feel superior to everyone else.

Twas’ either Twain or Bradbury said; “A life spent reading is a life well spent”.

I’d like to run a marathon. Not all at once of course. Maybe over a month or so.

I don’t see where Pig wasted any time.

It’s all in how your mind works….some will never GET IT!!!! Especially PIG!

Enjoy the little things in life, like cheese.

It is all in what makes an individual feel happy and content; and it is no surprise that for a pig, it is eating.

Are any of those accomplishments things you wanted to do Bob?

Yeah, Bob wasted time making a list…not sure what that says about all of us.

Anyone had Welsh Rarebit lately? My mom served that to us as kids in the 60’s – was it a fad then? Also Tomato Aspic (yuck!).

The late Robert Heinlein wrote a book called Glory Road. At one point in it, the hero is forced to fight a duel with an unnamed French swordsman with a remarkable schnoz. During the fight, the Frenchman says,

“Love a lass, kill a man, write a book, fly to the moon. I have done all these things and more.”

My question is, Has anyone ever done all four?

inspired me to try something new. a chunk of extra sharp wrapped in American, such differences combined to become so delicious.

I’ve saved a fair nest egg in Registered Retirement Saving Plans. Yet I think that I’ll end up being the ant to the grasshopper(s) in the Aesop Fable. And have it clawed back in taxes to those who lived for today.

Depends on one’s definition of wasted time. While I enjoy a good cheese, simply eating cheese just to have something to do is wasted time to me. Especially if it’s not a good cheese.

Sad that Pig considers enjoying cheese his only accomplishment in life. Of course, maybe it’s a case of quantity, not quality, for him!…
