where in Uncle Sam’s land are avocados grown mostly? California? that’s going to be difficult to ship around the rest of the country if Mexican avocados aren’t being imported

Avocados are seasonal as are berries, melons, lettuce and such. Although varieties are available year round, quality and quantity are dependent on that fact.

Imports were shut down due to the exposure of corrupt inspector(s)

We caved on the restriction of avocado imports, (due to support growers being exploited by the Narcos) in but a matter of days. So much for us helping importers, workers and their families. Mexico threatens to raise tariffs on other products and we give up on our humanitarian efforts in a matter of seconds. American values seem always to be tied to the profit and loss scheme of things.
