I’m older than I thought. I was going to suggest going to Jersey and using a pay phone to call Kenny. Fuggedaboutit. Just buy a throwaway phone to call every week or so.
I think fuzzbucket got the call right with throwaway phones. But you need SS#, driver’s license, credit cards, etc. He’ll need the Feds to give him a new identity or anything he does will create a trail that will only serve to drag the storyline out forever.
Some people in Sharcane’s predicament use another’s phone to make calls. Or, they may be able to apply for a phone using a fictitious name and PO box as address.
Since there are always trails, leave many false trails. It is often safe to dwell near an old false trail. Once the hit team rushes in and doesn’t find me, er, uh …. Sharcane, they assume it is still a false trail.
Place a few false trails in sufficiently dangerous locations and the locals finish off the hit teams for entertainment. (It often doesn’t even make the news.)
Write to Kenny. Put the letter in a stamped envelope addressed to Kenny. Put that letter in another stamped envelope addressed to s trusted friend who will mail the letter to Kenny. Have several friends who will do this for you. Have Kenny do the same to reply.
Ummm…what’s to stop the crooks from kidnapping Kenny now to flush him out of his new hidey-hole? Or they forget about him and just go for his filthy-rich step-mom? Sorry, I’m spoiling summer’s storyline, Robb.

Now, who’s going to break it to Kenny that he may never hear from his dad ever again?

Quite a culture change from where he was living, to living in NYC.

Did this guy tick off the freaking mob or something? Just arrest the people trying to kill him and let him return to a normal life!

I’m pretty sure when he first entered Witness Protection they told what Carla just said.

Not using a cellphone? That’s a surefire way to stand out in NYC, especially if he’s jaywalking.

So if Carla is such a top notch CIA agent, why doesn’t she just catch the bad guys and put an end to that story line? ;)
