Infrastructure Does Not Suck! It drains. Now where’s my list of kick back contractors? Find the list from the Haiti earthquake job.

It is, from the King’s perspective,

… “Infrastructure for me, but not for thee.”

How about … “If I benefit, everyone (the whole kingdom) benefits.”

A week? You’re complaining about a week???? Howsabout YEARS? I SWEAR TO GAWD, here on US 441 in Lady Lake, FL, orange traffic cones have become a permanent part of the landscape. As soon as they get one set of drainpipes in, they have to replace them with bigger drainpipes. . .then they have to refinisht the surface. . .then they have to reconfigure the islands. . .thanks for letting me rant/share!!! ;)

A stone castle with plumbing? Now that is upscale. We often forget that even the mightiest kings of barely two centuries ago had castles without electricity or air conditioning and had food selection that was not quite as wide as we see in our supermarkets today. I reflect on that last bit every Spring, when produce from the Northern and Southern hemispheres, as well as the tropics, is offered at prices even commoners can afford.

That’s better than the usual copper tubing, that’s being ripped out of houses to sell…

How strong is solid gold? I know it’s one of the softer metals, but I have never seen in used in such a way. Only in jewelry and whatnot.

I just bought a bunch of brass fittings within the past hour. Gold is too similar to lead for my tastes.

(he said as if gold had been an option he considered and rejected)
