Take a bunch of clothes, clean or not, put them and the cat/s in the largest bathroom with food and water and a litter box and close the door and don’t let them out until you are done for the day. Have a litter box in your bedroom. Let the cat/s sleep on your bed if that is normal for you otherwise set up their bed and it will be ok. They’ll get used to it as you unpack. We moved from San Francisco to Vancouver Island about 5 years ago and the cats took a little time but got used to a catio and a house modified for them in no time at all.
