I remember reading about the Polish/ Jewish uprising during World war two. What is going on in Kyiv, is just as courageous as anything that the Polish folks did in World war two. Each and every person that is participating in the defense of Kyiv is a hero and deserves some sort of recognition. They deserve medals at the least. God bless the Ukraine people. Goodnight and good luck.
Citizen/Soldiers in Ukraine love those gas bombs. I even learned how to BBB my old recipe. They shred bars f soap into a mix of waste oil and gas then seal it tight then tie the wick around neck. Much better than stuffing a rag into the neck. Who says you can’t learn watching tv.
Both extreme ends of our own political spectrum might think the situation in Ukraine would validate their violent actions here. At what point are guns and Molotov cocktails noble political reactions? When do merely political grievances morph into a truly justified all-out fight for freedom?
It has been noted that there are far too few Russian soldiers in Ukraine to effectively hold territories they take. Also, the power of mechanized forces is greatly diminished within cities, when bloody hand-to-hand combat becomes more the norm.
The Ukraine gets hero’s, we get idiots wearing face paint and horns, taking videos, smiling for the folks back home. Can we please admit a million or so Ukrainian refugees? To improve the species?
The Molotov Cocktail, ironically named after Stalin’s foreign minister, was devised by the Finns to combat invading Russian armor during the 1939-40 Winter War.
Of course, if LOYAL AMERICANS had done this to the TRAITORS who attacked the capitol on Jan. 6th UNDER ORDERS FROM AGOLF TWITLER, the Qpublicans would be screaming about it!!
At some point in time, hopefully after the Russo forces have been repulsed and some semblance of normalcy to Ukraine has been established, we might need to look at our role in causing this situation. True, this is the work of a madman who sits at the head of a nation. But, there are madmen in power throughout the world. How we deal with them and what plans we put into place to avoid conflict will say a lot about our true caring for peace.
When the Soviet Union folded, I believe there was thought about Russia becoming a member of NATO. But, that didn’t go anywhere. I suppose, for the Russians, the idea of joining them, NATO, if you can’t beat them, just didn’t wash. Maybe, just as the USSR ceased to exist, NATO should’ve ceased to exist. Just as Russia and the other soviet states became independent states, NATO should’ve morphed into a new organization that better represented the needs of the changing European and Asian continents.
Should NATO and the EU be successful in repelling the Russian forces and thus freeing Ukraine, then it might be time to rethink the makeup of NATO.

Ukrainians are losing their freedoms? Huh, wait ‘til they hear that Americans are being asked to wear masks. That’s REAL tyranny.
