I used to drive a tractor unit… that I believe in the US they call “cab-overs”… If I need to come into town I’d leave the trailer in the lorry-park and park the tractor on a town parking-space… Watching the meter-maid scrabbling up the front of the tractor to see if I had a valid ticket displayed… was the height of my morning’s entertainment…
Ever notice how some people will circle the block several times and/or try to squeeze into a too small space, all to avoid the horrible prospect of getting extra exercise on the way to the gym?
This reminds me of an overnight trip to Boston. I was up in my hotel room looking down on the street. This little car pulls up to a parking spot and stops. I thought it would be nice if the car could go sideways and it would fit perfectly. Well, 4 guys got of of this little thing that they could each probably carry on their own, each grabbed a corner, picked up the car and put it in the spot. Had to have been about 6 in both front and back. Locked the door and went across the street to the clubs.
