Nancy is Lit.

A nightcap cliche? Really?

She’s blinded by her brilliance.

Wait until she sees the eerie light of the refrigerator bulb shining through a half-eaten bowl of jello.

After midnight, Nancy’s oversight made her being blinded by the light, she should have trusted the moonlight

It’s a shame we don’t get to see Fritzi suddenly put her hand on Nancy’s shoulder from behind. Then, when Nancy turns around, she sees what Fritzi looks like without makeup and half asleep. The screaming would echo throughout the neighbourhood.

I’m not sure how the flashlight in the face helps. Better to wait until her eyes adjust to the dark. I know I hate having any light after I get used to the dark. And yes I know it is a comic and it is for effect. :)

Put the light under your chin. In photography it produces what is called Monster Lighting.

“Eerie” is an interesting choice; most kids Nancy’s age would have said “creepy.”

If Nancy only knew! Shine the flashlight from directly between your eyes, and you won’t see shadows.
