Ever since it was made apparent a couple of years ago that Parker was an avid viewer of Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In at the time these strips were appearing, I find myself hearing the Laugh-In organ music playing in the background of the dialogue of these Sunday ‘Wizard of Id’ strips.

It always seems to ‘work’ surprisingly well.
