WOW, this is weird. Just yesterday morning when I awoke I was dreaming I was at a Chinese restaurant with a group of friends, and one of them was saying “Look, if we’re all going to have the sirloin steak anyway, let’s go next door to the steak house — it’s a couple of bucks cheaper there.”

I remember stopping at a Chinese restaurant once while on the road on Christmas day. It was the only place open. Love hot and sour soup and chicken fried rice.

I recall when it used to be common for Chinese restaurants to have a “non-Chinese” section on the menu, as there was always that one person in the group who thought that Chinese food was too exotic.

She seems to be nostalgic for trips to Chinese restaurants but not for Chinese food. It’s still good business for the Chinese restaurant of course.

Wiz would’ve sooner had the Moo Goo Gai Pan, some egg rolls, and a fortune cookie.
