There are lots of ways to help. Most large international humanitarian charities are already hard at work. Check online, but make sure they are legit as, of course, there are some phone charities.
Care.org is a good one; I’ve given money to them, but there are others.

I can remember that many Americans were not happy with the influx of refugees from the former Soviet Union in the early ’90’s.
Will they be more hospitable toward Ukranian refugees?
