The weather is like that here in S. Florida: an almost-hurricane downpour (with gusty winds), and then it quickly clears up.

You’d scarcely know it rained at all!!

My hometown had a radio station with a big electric “weather” billboard on its roof. One cloudy day, I was walking along and saw it say “sunny”. Then it began to rain. I watched as the board changed to “rain”.

i always feel a sense of deep foreboding when we’re driving along in bright sunshine and the gps (called the カーナビ, kaa nabi in japan) starts flashing raindrops…

Trout’s right, Agnes. And your forecast would be spot on!

Better than the meteorologist we have here.. pretty sure they broadcast from some cave and do not have access to the camera feed right outside their entrance.

Looks like they may live in the Midwest USA. Snow 2 days ago, 60+ F today, 20s expected by the weekend.

TV meteorologists can accurately tell you what the weather currently is but as for predicting what it WILL do, not so much.

Somebody has to state the obvious for the oblivious.

(Obviously.)

Nice clothes is a DEFINITE requirement for being a weather person. It sort of helps if you had some actual training, but it’s not a necessity…..
