Sadly, knowledge doesn’t always bring wisdom, but it is a good place to start. Still, it’s a better shot than the old Greek model, which still lingers on sometimes, that knowledge will bring virtue.
Spent most of my life believing that more information was a good thing, but I’m now learning that is only true if the information is accurate. Perhaps the saying should be “truth will bring virtue”.
Like there ISN’T a supply chain problem. The actual idiocy is the Leftist solution to Climate Change isn’t a solution at all. It’s just another fantasy that’s incompatible with reality, another crisis even worse than the “crisis” it’s supposed to fix.
1 Corinthians 8New American Standard Bible 1995Take Care with Your Liberty
8 Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies. 2 If anyone supposes that he knows anything, he has not yet known as he ought to know; 3 but if anyone loves God, he is known by Him.
What is it about human nature that makes people take the word of an anonymous person over someone who is known to have expertise, having spent years studying and practicing in that specialty? Why are people willing to ask strangers (on line, in newsletters, etc.) what to do about medical problems, legal problems, neighborhood problems, personal problems when there are tons of specialists available both locally and online? Is it because people don’t really want to know what is true or accurate or most likely? Are they just looking for someone to validate their own opinion?
The NIH reports that the national average IQ fell in the previous decade; the first time this has ever happened. During the same period the use of social media increased from 20% to over 70% of adults. Coincidence?
Very simple solution to climate change. Pollution, Putin, war in general and every other global problem . They all have the same cause and the solution is very simple even if you don’t like the answer. Reduce the current population by 90%. Harsh ? Maybe, but it is going to happen shortly anyway. ANY organism, plant or animal that is allowed to grow unchecked will die in it’s own poisons or run out of what is keeping it alive. That’s just how it is.
I’m so sick of the political BS in this country. It just comes down to power and greed! The majority of politicians are an embarrassment for this country. They act like selfish children who only care about themselves and not the people they are supposed to represent.
I’m just going to bypass the comments here and wish Wiley would step in. One needs knowledge for wisdom and let’s face it, social media has little of both.

Idiocy is not new to social media. It only gives idiocy an easier path to spread. Kind of like a disease vector.

Knowledge, but there is no love.

Knowledge and wisdom never make it to social media. You are on your own to get those things. Good luck!
