The first sign of Spring attached itself to the inside of my elbow. I found the critter as I changed out my gardening clothes. Ticks in Michigan, even before the ground has completely thawed, and in my senior’s community front yard!
In Texas, the threat of snow is almost nil, but we could still see a freeze or two. That’s why I’m putting off buying any new plants for my garden until April or May.

Many years I’ve had to shovel snow after the first time I’ve mowed the lawn.
