Great kids leave your phone on during school hours & get sent to the principal’s office; then get chewed out by your parent’s…Cuz you didn’t answer the phone & got sent to detention?? ๏̯̃๏
Many schools won’t let kids text during class. Marcy should know that. Once they know the kids got to school OK, they shouldn’t try to text them unless it’s an emergency.
Whenever a phone rings or alerts during class, and I ask the student, it is ALWAYS the parent calling or texting them. The same parent who signed the required permission slip that allows the student to have the phone on campus, which clearly outlines the rules. Rule #1? The phone must be turned off or silenced during school hours, and may not be used at any time without permission from school authorities.
And to think I attended 12 years of Public ‘Schools and 4 years of College without the need to call my parents even one time. My, My I’m amazed. Wait, wait, my two children accomplished the same thing, now that is amazing, 2 generations accomplished it. How hard can that be?

The schools mandate turning off cell phones during class, or they get confiscated buy the teacher, or administration.

I always answer my mother when she calls, especially since there’s no “decline” option on my phone.

You really feel the need to check on their safety while they’re at school? (Actually – of course you do, never mind.)
