Depends on what the “it” is you’re not able to do.

Who was it that said, “If you think you can, or if you think you can’t, you’re right.”?

There is an island in the Dutch Caribbean called Saba (“say-bah”) that speaks English and uses the U.S. dollar as its currency. It has one road (called “The Road”) that experts said couldn’t be built. A Saban took a correspondence course in engineering, and built the road that they said couldn’t be built. It’s about 5 or 6 miles long, and winds from the airport in the northeast, through 4 beautiful villages to the seaport in the southwest. Saba is a dormant volcano.

The first thing everyone needs to learn is the difference between “couldn’t” and “shouldn’t”.

There’s a whole bunch of stuff that you “can” do that you “shouldn’t” do.

Whenever husband says something like “We can’t move that, it is too heavy!” I will try to move it myself while he stands there yelling at me that it is too heavy and I will hurt myself. About 80% of the time I will move it where it needs to go – sometimes with his help – have never hurt myself.

(Latest one – we bought a table from Ikea on which to put the TV he bought. Table came in 2 boxes and all together it is suppose to weigh 40 lbs – heck, I carried my baby sister around when she weighed that or more and that was when I was 12. The box with the table top we had to both carry as it is dimensionally large – at 63 inches it is longer than I am tall, but when I picked up and put the box of parts/frame on the cart to take it to the van and then put it in the car myself – while he protested the entire time it was too heavy. He refused to let me carry it from van to the front door and insisted on helping – it would have been much easier for me to carry it without him, but he would not let me. )
