I thought every day was a party at the Big Pink House.

Elbis wants to keep everything to himself.

Lupin will be there with bells on. Elvis will be the party pooper!

These cats aren’t exactly frat party wild. What could possibly go wrong? Forget I said that.

When the people are away, the cats will play! Better invite the mice, too!

I’m glad to see Goldie doesn’t feel TOO abandoned. (Also, I’m imagining Elvis looking off into the air trying to make that shot work and Burt moving him around in the grid so he’s looking in completely the wrong direction.)

Elvis is right. Beatrix is too young for that sort of party.

Really annoy Elvis! Invite the neighbours down!

Ooh, kitty rave! I hope there’s music and glow sticks … or maybe a disco ball, if they’re going for a retro vibe? Of course, if there IS a disco ball, there won’t be much dancing, just a lot of cats chasing after all those moving bits of light …

Hmm, four boys, and two girls…one very young. Invite Tabitha and Sir Figaro Newton too. If Tommy is going, you can’t have a party without Sophie who will make art with the toilet paper stock.

Now you have a proper mixer, five boys and four girls.

Elvis will be in denial – so he doesn’t need a partner.

Beatrix should be with Puck , because he is a gentleman.

Goldie can handle Lupin and his shenanigans. Plus Lupin seems to have had his bell returned. (It’s been missing/off for the past couple of strips). So, the furry little tinker-bell should be no problem for Street Smart Goldie.

Tommy will fawn over Sophie. Sophie will concentrate on her art, and almost miss Tommy’s kindness.

Tabitha is too dignified, and Sir Newton a gentleman to allow the goings on to get too crazy.

Oh, and somebody pull Burt out from under his monitors. If anybody has earned some fun it would be Burt. Changes the party mix, but Burt is a must have.

Now we just need the ghost cats, and the mice to complete the house party.

O.T. I would like to ask for Orb power on behalf of one of my friends. I talked to her a month ago and she was preparing for some tests. Yesterday I texted her and found that she is at Duke U. being treated for stage 3 colon cancer. She says her treatment team is confident she will be cured, but she will have a hard road ahead for the next months, dealing with an ostomy, oral chemo, radiation, and then I.V. chemo, and living away from home and her dogs. She is a strong person, but this is a lot for anyone to deal with. If you can, please send out good vibes of any type for G.L. Thank you!

I used to live in Isla Vista when I went to college at UC Santa Barbara. There were spring break parties but there was no Internet, so you could limit your invitations. Now, some bozo posts the party location online and idiots drive from as far away as Colorado, thinking they are going to be welcome. Every year now the beach has to be closed, there is nowhere to park, and often serious injuries, including the occasional overloaded balcony collapse. It’s not just college students; it gives youth a bad name.
