You know what? I can’t even remember why I was getting up in the first place. Whatever the reason, I’m sure it’s not very important; certainly not more important than this exquisitely comfortable sleeping position.

This month’s calendar page has excellent advice. It’s really a shame that I’ve written up my extra shifts all over it already, and that’s not even counting my day job or various book-related events.

We have heated cat beds. We kept one on the couch for Blossom, and one time I found her laying halfway out of it, much like that. I guess she felt the same way!

Garfield would be so proud!

There have been times when I get out of bed, I’m like that except it’s my feet and legs dangling over side of bed and I get a few more winks before alarm goes off again (after hitting snooze a couple of times, when I was working).

I was going to sleep in today, but there’s a mosquito in my apartment I haven’t been able to swat (YET). Don’t think I got more than a couple hours of sleep, and I’m up way too early. Frustrating.

That third panel is how I feel. Three more weeks of school then seven days of summer classes in June and I get to be off for the summer. Well, my grandbaby is due around the end of July/first of August so that’s something to look forward to.

I think Puck’s philosophy is “Carpe Diem – Mañana!”

My sister’s cat does this. She is most amenable to being petted when in the cat bed, but when she is in a pose like Puck, anything can happen. As for Puck, he just needs to get his 16 hours of sleep. Just a little longer.

I don’t know if any of you also read Pooch Cafe, but today’s comments showing a lot of animosity towards cats really disturbed me.

If what Puck is doing isn’t seizing the day, I don’t know what is.

My cats sleep on elevated beds and do, very occasionally, roll off. A cat can actually wake up on the way down and still land on its feet. This is probably due to evolutionary adaptation to sleeping in trees.

Georgia Dunn, yesterday I asked Will Henry how far in advance he wrote his strips, and he said a month. What about you?

My dog sometimes sleeps partly off his bed like this. I suspect it’s partly so he’s lying on the more padded part of the bed; anything hanging off is collateral damage!

Arise! Go forth! And nap!

This reminds my of my gentleman house-feral Gandalf’s little song that I sing to him, to a possibly recognizable tune:

It looks like carping the day to me. Cats are comfortable in postures that would cause permanent injury to humans. Catsleep is an art form.

Pucky’s pooped-out!

My Tom does this when he lies on my lap, or anywhere really.I call it cat oozing.

So I changed to calendar today, got a look at the picture for May the fourth – & I squeed over it! Wonderful pic!

I don’t know if anyone has wondered where I’ve been. Hospital since 3/12, and found pancreatic and liver cancer. Now in rehab. Hope to be able to go home soon and do what I can to be productive for as long as I can.; Thanks to Georgia and the kitties for all the sweet stories and art. And to all of you.

I haven’t seen Rosie since 3/12, but we converse on the phone twice a day!
