The staff has a tendancy to annoy the chief.

I think this is the first time I have seen the chief in that position. I’m not sure if he is getting up, sitting down, or just trying to avoid seeing a chiropractor. (My guess is his back hurts, and he is too cheap to shell out for a visit to the doc.)

Chief thinks his control of people is a strength not a weakness Brutus. Self righteous – that he is totally correct or morally superior..

At least he is aware. That’s the first step. Doubt if he will take more then one step though …

I didn’t think boss man cared about his employees at all. Today Brutus is his conscience?

This strip presents a new view of Brutus’ and boss man’s relationship. Brutus is beside the boss and the boss is, as Cordlock points out, in a relaxed position which is also a new position for him. Usually, Brutus is speaking across the Boss’ desk with the said desk acting as a wall to separate management and staff. This view shows Brutus in an almost majordomo role, no longer the belittled peon but a member of staff that has the Boss’ ear. With this relationship, Brutus can even make a criticism without the expected retaliation from the Boss. Interesting.

If his controlling causes something to go bad, he gladly gives the staff credit…
