Moderately Confused by Jeff Stahler for April 18, 2022

I like comedians who don’t have to make fun of someone else’s wife. It means they’re smart enough to come up with jokes that are more clever.

I like people who are mature enough to express their displeasure in non-violent ways.

Rep. Marjorie Greene prefers the face slappers. Violence is acceptable if you don’t like what has happened.

On the other hand, not all Republicans have the same reaction. Ted Cruz loves it when you insult his wife.

But no thigh-slappers.

Smith will never live this down….he was out of line…..

Stand-up comedy is different nowadays. Mostly profane and without humor.

Sorry, but making fun of a person for something that they have no control over is not funny. It is called bullying. Jada was hurt. Will was angry. He might have conducted himself better. Bullying requires immediate response. The better response would have been for Will and Jada to simply get up and walk out. The BEST response would have been for the attending audience to get up and walk out.

Me? I did not watch the awards. When I finally heard the joke. I had no idea what the point was. (It wouldn’t have been out of the question that “G I Jane” had a sequel)

Comedians need to make fun of themselves before taking on insulting other people. Chris Rock was wrong but then again so was Will Smith.
