I had a sore throat and runny nose all last week. Did a rapid test every evening but they all came back negative. On Friday I noticed that I couldn’t taste my lunch. After work I went to the cottage for the weekend. Friday evening at the cottage, same thing with supper: No flavour. I did another test and this time it was positive. So far those are all the symptoms I’ve had: Sore throat, runny nose, and not being able to taste anything. No fever, no chest congestion, no headaches. Yesterday I felt much better, and today I’m almost 100%. No more sore throat, no more runny nose. Just the occasional sneeze and still can’t taste anything. Starting Saturday morning my husband started showing symptoms too, but his test results keep coming in negative. Pretty sure he has it though – it’d be one hell of a coincidence for him to get a cold and show the exact same symptoms that I’ve had, just after I had them. Took almost a week for me to get a positive result, so it’ll probably be the same for him.
I’m not trying to downplay the severity of COVID, but for me at least it wasn’t even as bad as a flu, more like a mild cold. What sucks though, is that now I’ve got to spend the whole week off work due to provincial guidelines (7 days from the date of a positive test). The only good thing is that I’m at the cottage. No better place on Earth to self-isolate.

Must have the Omicron version of COVD, highly contagious the whole family show’s positive, but no worse than a regular flu.

A bouncy house can be great fun for awhile.
It’s definitely not fun if you’re sentenced to it and not allowed to leave.

I’d feel pretty weird too, if I had to live there.

If I had to live in there, I’d eventually be bouncing off the walls.

might be a slight over-reaction — especially in Spring

Please bring back Sheila Snail, she might be able to talk some sense into RJ and Hammy.

You’d think that nothing would survive the RJ explosion last week!
